Austin County Republican Party

Learn more about what we do

Our Monthly Meeting is held in the back room of Tony’s Restaurant in Sealy on the first Thursday of every month. Meeting starts at 7 PM, all are welcome doors open by 5:30 if you want to eat early.

The Austin County Republican Party (ACRP) is open to everyone who is interested in learning more about our local politics and political process. In addition to speakers on a variety of topics at our monthly meetings, we host candidate forums during the primary season and either a banquet or picnic during the summer.

By law, the ARCP is charged with conducting the Republican Primary Election held in March. We accomplish this with the aid of the County Elections Office under the Tax Assessor/Collector. In addition, the role of the ACRP is to promote conservative candidates and encourage conservative voting in Austin County. In that regard, the ACRP has several goals:
1. to sponsor a biannual banquet to bring high quality nationally known speakers to the county
2. to sponsor the picnic in alternate years to bring state officials here to meet one-on-one with the voters
3. to sponsor an essay contest on a selected conservative topic for high school seniors.
4. to encourage a conservative student organization in the high schools and home schoolers in the county to promote a starting point for younger conservatives
5. to acquire a permanent headquarters to serve as a focal point for our activities
6. to educate voters in the political process and encourage them to become involved in the local processes.

We have successfully sponsored a banquet, the picnic, an essay contest and acquired a permanent headquarters. We have accomplished the easy goals, and we now need more volunteers to improve
